A 92 year old who has 10 great- grandchildren has just won over £101,000 at Bingo.
The woman, who wished not to be named, won the National toto sgp Game prize in Britain of £100,000 as well as the regional prize of £1,075 after getting a house in just 43 numbers – the fewest of the 500 clubs taking part.
She won while playing four cards at a time and said she will be sharing the money with a friend.
“We always share whatever either of us wins and this time will be no different.
“It was a bit of a shock when they told me how much it was. I have not got over it yet!
“I have been playing all my married life.
“We have been friends for many years.”
The mystery winner, who is widowed, lives with her daughter and son-in-law.
Her son-in-law commented: “She is amazing for her age. I don’t know how she does it.
“She gave up smoking at 70 and puts the salt cellar on her food and says it never done her any harm.
“She plays bingo three times a week and goes on holiday three times a year to various places, including Scotland and the Isle of Wight.”
The bingo hall’s duty manager was delighted: “The winner appeared very calm when we told her how much she had won.
“It was her friend who was shaking like a leaf!”
